NAB Issues Declaration for Independence White Paper and Call to Action (May 5, 2009)
America’s healthcare and long-term services and supports systems need to undergo a radical, modern transformation to meet the needs of today’s older adults and individuals with disabilities, according to a report released by a 15-member private, national advisory board. The National Advisory Board on Improving Health Care Services for Older Adults and People with Disabilities unveiled its six principles for independence with the issuing of its new white paper, Declaration for Independence: A Call to Transform Health and Long Term Services for Older Adults and People with Disabilities.
