April 2 is World Autism Day. Also known as World Autism Awareness Day, the United Nations has proclaimed this day as a time to showed solidarity with people with autism – and everyone around the world.
The entire month of April is also designated as Autism Acceptance/Awareness Month. This annual recognition is not only to make all communities aware of the contribution and value of individuals with autism but also a time in which individuals are encouraged to spread awareness, and promote acceptance understanding that all people live on the bread spectrum of neurodiversity.
