A consumer control approach to the delivery of Long-Term Services and Supports (LTSS) can enable individuals with disabilities “to engage in a full range of life’s activities and to pursue meaningful personal goals, including those of lifelong income generation and aging in place,” according to new research published in the current issue of the Public Policy & Aging Report (PP&AR). Michelle Putnam, PhD, and Lex Frieden, convener of the National Advisory Board and professor of biomedical informatics and rehabilitation at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth), jointly authored the article, which is featured in a thematic issue of PP&AR: “The Federal Commission on Long-Term Care: Setting an Agenda and Moving It Forward.”
